The Annual Board of Directors meeting and Volunteer Service Awards

Thanks to the Marriott Hotel for hosting our Annual Board of Directors Meeting and Volunteer Service Awards on Wednesday, January 11th. The event will start at 6pm with the Presentation of Colors by the Lemoore Naval Airstation Color Guard. Volunteers who put in more than 1000 hours for Habitat for Humanity were recognized with Presidential Service Awards. The event was free to the public.

Congratulations for all our award recipients: Debbie Gullord from Visalia, Denise Marchant, Dennis Townsend, Janis Cotton, Judy Sarber and Tara Ramirez from Porterville, Elizabeth Shelton from Hanford, John Wells from Visalia, Ron Oaks ~ Art of Plumbing from Visalia, Paul Gittens and Kristopher Liford, both assigned to Lemoore Naval Air Station. Also congratulations to our group award winners, WalMart DC, John Swenson and Kent Delperdang, and Pine Recovery, Ramona Robertson and Steve Cummings. It was a special honor to award the Lifetime Achievements Award to our longtime volunteers Jamie and Wilma Carrillo.

Habitat for Humanity of Tulare County is a non-profit, ecumenical, Christian housing ministry seeking to eliminate poverty housing and make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

Habitat for Humanity of Tulare County works in partnership with families, volunteers, and donors, to build simple, decent, affordable housing with hard-working, low-income families in our community. Our partners include corporations, churches, foundations, organizations, and individual donors who contribute money, labor, and materials to fund and build our houses.

Since 1994, Habitat for Humanity of Tulare County has built 33 houses in Tulare, Visalia, and Hanford. Please join us as we continue our mission of building homes, building lives, building hope, and building community.
