The past four years we have held the Birdhouse Auction at the beautiful Tulare home of Lonnie & Laurie Tiesiera. We have met with old friends and met many new ones all while raising money for Habitat for Humanity. To date we have raised more than $124,200.00 for our programs here in Tulare County. Thank you Lonnie & Laurie for your generosity and for starting what has become a great event and a yearly tradition.

The 5th Annual Birdhouse Auction will be held at Valley Oaks Golf Course on Friday, May 14th, 2010. This year we are thrilled to offer Milla Wine on all the tables as a special gift for our guests. Artists from all over California are creating one of a kind Birdhouses especially for this event. Once again there will be wine tasting from Central California Wineries and a special “Taste of the Valley” as restaurants compete for “Best of Show” for presenting their culinary creations.

Last year the top bid for a birdhouse went to Dan Shattuck and “Silver Spoons” at $600. This is the best price our Birdhouses have received to date. “Man of the Forest” by Paul Green came in second with $500. Thank you to all the artists for creating some increadible Birdhouses for our event last year. We are anticipating some unique creations for this year’s Auction.
