Planned Giving

Make a Lasting Mark In Your Community

A planned gift expresses who you are and what matters in your life. It is a declaration of your beliefs, values, and interests. You can express your commitment to Habitat for Humanity of Tulare County by making a bequest (a gift through your Will) or other planned gifts to our affiliate.

The most common method is to include Habitat for Humanity of Tulare County in your Last Will and Testament. To make such a gift in your Will, you may:

  • Give a specific dollar amount
  • Give property, stocks or bonds, Certificates of Deposit, insurance policy or retirement plan
  • Give a percentage of your total assets or percentage of specific assets
  • Give “what’s left” which provides for your loved ones first, before any distributions are made to charity.

Other ways of making planned gifts include Charitable Gift Annuities, Gifts of Retirement Plan Assets, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Lead Trusts, Life Insurance Gifts, Retained Life Estates, and Gifts of Real Estate.

Always check with your attorney or financial advisor for full advice. For more information or to notify us of you decision to make a Charitable Request, contact our office at 559.734.4040.
