Past Projects
Habitat for Humanity of Tulare County has been building houses since it’s inception in 1994. It took us 10 years to build our first 13 houses. This past year we dedicated 5 houses. Over the next two years Habitat has plans for 5-6 new projects that will house up to 16 families in

Styrafoam forms create the walls of the house and then concrete is poured in between the forms to finish the walls.
The Insulated Concrete Forms House in Tulare was built almost exclusively by the students at the Tualre Adult School. I was started in 2006 and completed in early 2007.

ICF house Dedication
The Women Build in 2006 was the first National Women Build for Habitat for Humanity. For the build in Tulare more than 200 women joined together to build the house.

All the volunteers learn basic construction safety and building techniques everyday on the jobsite.

Women Build 2006
The Green Build in Vislaia was the first two story build for Habitat for Humanity of Tulare County. It was built almost exclusively with Green building techniques and materials including and tankless waterheater and a Photovoltaic system. Most of the Habitat Builds from now on will have green building elements to them.

In Partnership with the Home Builders Association of Tulare/Kings County and Centex Homes, Habitat joined hundreds of other affiliates across Canada and the United States to build more than 500 houses in one week. With the help of more than 40 trade partners and their proffessional volunteers, we finished the house in 4 days!!

Thank you to all the Partners, volunteers and family partners who spend hours working on Habitat for Humanity projects. We could not do it without you!!
