The Nature of Entertaiment

The fall 2011 issue of T E News began with an article on the nature of entertaiment. What one person or group of people consider to be entertainment may seem like work or an act of cruelty to another.

The word entertainment is derived from the Medieval Latin intertenere, which in turn derives from the Indo-European root ten, meaning to hold inside.
